extra fancy is a clothing brand started in brooklyn and inspired by a single dress made by my grandmother in the 1970's. i immediately fell in love with its pattern, cut and 70's beach vibe. with a background in sculpture and styling and a love for fashion and sewing, i started taking pattern making classes and researching the crap out of super soft, eco friendly fabrics. after finding the perfect micro modal and perfecting my sewing skills the eleanor dress was born. named after my grandmother, it is extra fancy's signature dress. its elegant enough for a soiree and comfy enough to sleep in.
